The architectural design synthesizes classical Ottoman styles with contemporary construction techniques. Its interior capacity accommodates up to 4,500 worshippers simultaneously. The complex includes additional facilities such as a cultural center, a library, and exhibition spaces. It is situated on a 10,000-square-meter plot of land in the heart of Tirana. The mosque is financed largely by the Turkish Diyanet Foundation.
