Overview

The Hustopeče lookout is a wooden observation tower situated directly within the Mandloňové sady, the northernmost almond orchard in Europe. Built in 2012, the structure stands 17.4 meters tall and provides a panoramic view of the Pálava Hills, the Nové Mlýny reservoirs, and the surrounding South Moravian vineyards. The tower is constructed from galvanized steel and larch wood, designed to blend into the agricultural landscape. It is accessed via a series of marked tourist trails that wind through the almond trees. The site is a focal point of the local annual Almond and Wine Festival.
