Overview

Boundary Peak Lookout Tower, known locally as Rozhledna Hraniční vrch, is a dual-tower steel observation structure situated at an altitude of 541 meters above sea level near Město Albrechtice. The site consists of two identical 25-meter-high towers connected by a bridge, repurposed from former telecommunication masts. It offers panoramic views of the Jeseníky Mountains, the Opava region, and the Polish borderland. The towers were opened to the public in 2011 following a conversion project by the town of Město Albrechtice. The structure remains a popular destination for hikers navigating the Zlaté Hory highland trails. It is located on the Hraniční vrch hill, which historically served as a boundary point between former administrative regions.

Insider tips

Wear sturdy hiking boots as the access paths are unpaved and can be muddy.

Check weather conditions before departing, as high winds on the open platform can make the structure vibrate.

What to avoid

Attempting the climb during thunderstorms due to the exposed metal structure.

Etiquette
