Overview

Palovit Waterfall is one of the highest-flow waterfalls in the Rize province, situated within the Kackar Mountains National Park. The waterfall drops from a height of approximately 15 meters into a narrow, rocky canyon. It is fed by the Palovit Stream, which originates from the glacial peaks of the region. The surrounding vegetation is characterized by dense, ancient temperate rainforests dominated by spruce and beech trees. The site is accessible via a forest road that branches off the main route toward Zilkale. Heavy mist is a constant feature at the base of the falls due to the volume of cascading water. The terrain is steep and features moss-covered limestone formations.
