Overview

Šútovský waterfall is the highest waterfall in the Malá Fatra mountain range, with a total drop of approximately 38 meters. It is situated within the Šútovská dolina valley in the northern part of Slovakia. The water source originates from the Moses Springs (Mojžišove pramene) located below the peak of Stoh. The waterfall is formed by a small stream that cascades over a rocky cliff face. The hiking trail leading to the base follows the Šútovský Creek, passing through dense forest cover. The terrain is rocky and features a moderate incline as it approaches the waterfall bowl. Visitors can observe significant geological formations characteristic of the Krivánska Malá Fatra region. The site remains a protected natural monument within the Malá Fatra National Park.
