Overview

The Kis-tubesi kilátó is a wooden observation tower situated on the slopes of the Mecsek Mountains overlooking the city of Pécs. Located at an altitude of approximately 420 meters, it provides a vantage point for viewing the city center, the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter, and the surrounding hilly landscape. The current structure replaced older viewing platforms that stood on the same geological ridge. The tower is built primarily of wood and offers an open-air viewing platform at its highest level. It is a key waypoint on several marked forest hiking trails traversing the Mecsek area. The site is maintained by the Baranya County Nature Conservation Association.
