Overview

Ramsagar National Park is a protected area centered around Ramsagar Lake, an expansive man-made reservoir covering approximately 43.7 hectares. Created in the 18th century by Raja Ram Nath, the lake served as a source of water for the local community. The site is situated in the Dinajpur District of Bangladesh and serves as a significant sanctuary for migratory birds. The park features a dense forest canopy comprising trees such as shisham, eucalyptus, and acacia, which were planted as part of reforestation efforts. The reservoir is approximately 1,079 meters long and 183 meters wide. It functions as a popular recreational destination for domestic tourists and locals. The park is managed by the Bangladesh Forest Department to conserve local biodiversity.
