Seethargundu Viewpoint is located on the edge of the Nelliyampathy Hills in the Palakkad district of Kerala, offering an expansive aerial perspective of the plains below. The site is named after a legendary cave associated with the Hindu epic Ramayana, where Sita is said to have bathed. The terrain consists of a steep cliffside drop overlooking the verdant estates and agricultural fields of the Kollengode region. The viewpoint is characterized by high-altitude winds and significant mist accumulation during the monsoon months. Its geographical position provides a clear view of the surrounding Western Ghats mountain range. The surrounding area remains largely underdeveloped, preserving the natural forest canopy.
The protruding rock ledge at the northern edge provides the widest unobstructed panorama of the plains.
