Overview

Pointe Helbronner is a 3,462-meter alpine summit located on the border between France and Italy within the Mont Blanc massif. It serves as the upper terminal for the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car system originating from Courmayeur, Italy. The summit features a multi-level terrace providing panoramic views of the Aosta Valley and the Mont Blanc glacier. It serves as a primary access point for high-altitude mountaineering routes and the Vallée Blanche glacier ski run. A permanent exhibition of crystals found in the Mont Blanc massif is maintained within the facility. The structure is integrated into the international high-altitude transit network connecting Italy to Chamonix, France, via the Aiguille du Midi cable car. The summit terrace is engineered as a circular steel platform to ensure 360-degree visibility. Oxygen levels are significantly lower than at sea level due to the extreme altitude.
