Kouri Big Bridge is a 1,960-meter-long toll-free bridge connecting Yagaji Island to Kouri Island in northern Okinawa. Completed in 2005, it serves as the primary land access to Kouri Island, which is known for its emerald-green waters and coral reefs. The bridge features a gentle curve that spans the shallow, clear ocean channel separating the two landmasses. Its design allows motorists and cyclists to maintain views of the sea on both sides of the road. The bridge is part of the Okinawa Prefectural Road 247. It provides the only direct route for vehicles to reach the island's interior attractions.
