The park features an extensive network of multi-use trails suitable for mountain biking, hiking, and trail running. It maintains a dedicated 18-hole disc golf course that winds through wooded terrain. Visitors have access to a boat ramp, a fishing pier, and a crabbing station along the waterfront. The grounds include multiple reservable picnic shelters equipped with grills and electricity for group gatherings. Insider tips

Bring insect repellent, as the proximity to tidal marshes and wooded areas leads to high mosquito activity.

Check the park's online trail conditions page before visiting, especially after rainfall, as dirt trails can become impassable.

Download a digital trail map before arrival, as cell service can be intermittent in the deeper wooded sections.

What to avoid

Attempting to launch motorized watercraft from non-designated areas; stick strictly to the concrete ramp.

Good to know

Park gates may close during severe weather events or for specific private tournaments; check the county website for seasonal gate hour shifts.

Etiquette

Stay on marked trails to protect local flora and avoid ticks; pack out all trash to maintain the natural environment.
