Garimseong Fortress, also known as Seongheung Sanseong, is a Baekje-era stone fortress located on the summit of Garim-san in Imcheon-myeon. Built in 501 AD during the reign of King Muryeong, it served as a critical defensive position for Sabi, the capital of Baekje. The fortress walls stretch approximately 1,500 meters, constructed primarily from piled stones and earthen ramps. It is recognized as a nationally designated historic site due to its well-preserved, authentic fortifications. The site offers panoramic views of the Geumgang River basin, which historically provided strategic oversight of the surrounding plains.
