Overview

Spiaggia di Cala Fuili is a secluded cove characterized by light-colored limestone pebbles and boulders rather than sand. It is situated at the mouth of the Codula Fuili, a deep ravine carved into the coastal cliffs of the Gulf of Orosei. The beach is reached via a steep set of stairs descending from the coastal road above. The turquoise water is exceptionally clear, making it a popular destination for swimming and snorkeling. Because of the rocky shoreline, the water deepens quickly from the edge. It serves as the primary gateway for hikers traveling the trail toward the famous Cala Luna beach. The beach lacks natural shade, except for the shadows cast by the surrounding karst cliffs during specific parts of the day.

Photo spot

Insider tips

Wear water shoes to comfortably navigate the uneven, smooth pebble surface.

Bring a portable sun umbrella, as natural shade is extremely limited.

Arrive early in the morning to secure a spot before the heat intensifies and crowds increase.

What to avoid

Attempting to hike to Cala Luna in the middle of the day without adequate water and proper footwear.

Etiquette

Respect the fragile coastal flora; carry all trash out as there are no bins on-site.
