Overview

The Komaki City History Museum is a three-story reinforced concrete reconstruction located atop Mount Komaki, the site of Oda Nobunaga's first castle built in 1563. The museum chronicles the history of the Komakiyama Castle and the 1584 Battle of Komaki and Nagakute. Displays feature historical artifacts, including pottery and remnants unearthed from the castle site. The site is a registered historical landmark known for its extensive stone walls and earthworks created during the Sengoku period. The current structure was built in 1967 and serves as an observation deck offering views of the Nobi Plain. It functions as the central facility for the Komakiyama Park historical site preservation project.
