The glade is situated directly on the border of the buffer zone for the Tatra National Park.

Polana Zgorzelisko is a high-mountain glade located in the Tatra Mountains at an elevation of approximately 1,100 meters above sea level. It is renowned for its unobstructed, panoramic views of the entire Tatra range, including the High and Western Tatras. The glade serves as a natural viewpoint frequently visited by hikers traversing trails between Małe Ciche and Murzasichle. The area is characterized by traditional highlander architecture, including the nearby Hotel Tatry, which is a prominent landmark on the site. It is a transition zone between forested areas and higher alpine meadows. The terrain is relatively gentle compared to more rugged Tatra peaks, making it accessible for varied skill levels.
