The park's namesake, Mount Scott, was named in honor of Harvey W. Scott, a prominent editor of The Oregonian newspaper in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Mt. Scott Park is a 19.3-acre urban green space located in the Foster-Powell neighborhood of Southeast Portland. The park features an integrated community center, known as the Mt.
