Overview

Rezerwat Przyrody Kręgi Kamienne w Odrach is a forest reserve featuring a unique collection of ten complete and two partial stone circles alongside 30 kurgans, or burial mounds. Dating back to the first and second centuries AD, these monuments are attributed to the Goth and Gepid tribes that migrated through the region. The stones vary in size, with some reaching up to 1.5 meters in height, and are set within a protected pine forest environment. It holds the largest concentration of such megalithic structures in Poland. The site is a registered archaeological monument protected under Polish law. Much of the site remains covered in lichen, providing a unique micro-ecosystem for rare botanical species.
