Overview

Valla Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world, stretching approximately 12 kilometers in length. The observation deck, constructed of wood and steel, projects out over the abyss to offer a vertical view of the canyon floor. It is located within the Küre Mountains National Park in the Kastamonu province of Türkiye. The canyon walls reach heights of up to 1,200 meters, creating a dramatic geological feature carved by the Devrekani Creek. Access to the observation deck is provided via a reinforced pathway through the forest. The area is a protected habitat for various flora and fauna, including endangered species of birds of prey. The observation deck is the primary infrastructure for viewing the canyon's interior without requiring professional climbing equipment.
