Maltepe Orhangazi City Park is a massive 1.2 million square meter reclamation project on the Sea of Marmara coast. It features one of the longest continuous waterfront promenades in Istanbul. The park contains dedicated sporting zones, including basketball courts, tennis courts, and football pitches. A significant portion of the area is paved for cyclists and joggers, stretching several kilometers along the shoreline. Visitors have access to designated picnic areas, children's playgrounds, and recreational gardens. The park is built on artificial land reclaimed from the sea, creating a flat, expansive topography distinct from Istanbul’s hilly terrain. It serves as a regional hub for public outdoor sports and community events.
