Overview

The Feldberg Turm is a former television transmission tower located on the summit of the Feldberg, the highest mountain in the Black Forest at 1,493 meters. The structure currently functions as an observation tower, providing a 360-degree panorama of the Southern Black Forest, the Vosges in France, and the Swiss Alps. It houses a small exhibition dedicated to the history of the Feldberg region and local alpine nature. The tower was constructed in the 1960s to serve as a radio relay station before its conversion into a visitor attraction. It remains one of the most prominent landmarks in the Baden-Württemberg region. Access to the viewing platform is provided via an elevator, with additional stairs leading to the topmost level.
