Overview

Kleiner Preuße is a replica of a historical 19th-century lighthouse situated at the Wremer Kutterhafen. The original structure, once known as the 'Wremer Bake,' served as a navigation aid for ships entering the Weser estuary. The current lighthouse is a functional replica built in 2005 to serve as a landmark and information point. It stands at the mouth of the Wremer Tief, directly overlooking the North Sea Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage site. The tower functions as the smallest lighthouse in Germany and operates as a standalone registry office for civil wedding ceremonies. Visitors can view the North Sea and the shipping lanes leading to Bremerhaven from its base.
