Overview

Borówkowa Góra is a 900-meter-high mountain peak located on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic in the Rychlebské hory range. The summit features a 25-meter-high steel observation tower that provides panoramic views of the Jeseníky Mountains, the Kłodzko Valley, and the Śnieżnik Massif. The current tower, opened in 2006, replaced earlier wooden structures that stood on this site dating back to the late 19th century. A seasonal buffet hut at the summit offers refreshments and stamps for the regional Crown of the Sudetes hiking challenge. The location is historically significant as a former secret meeting point for Polish and Czechoslovak anti-communist dissidents in the late 1980s. A marked trail connects the peak to the village of Javorník. The area is heavily forested, primarily with spruce and beech trees typical of the border mountain ecology.
