Overview

Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib is one of the five Takhats in Sikhism, marking the site where Guru Gobind Singh breathed his last in 1708. Completed in 1837 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the complex stands on the banks of the Godavari River. The inner sanctum, known as the Angitha Sahib, is built over the cremation site of the tenth Guru. Its architecture features a white marble exterior, gold-plated domes, and intricate floral motifs. The complex serves as the spiritual epicenter for the Nanded region. Thousands of pilgrims visit daily to pay respects and participate in community service. The structure houses various historical relics associated with the Guru’s life in Nanded.
