Overview

The Domik Smotritelya Vysokogo Mosta, or High Bridge Keeper's House, is a preserved 19th-century Neo-Gothic structure located at the edge of the High Bridge in Kaliningrad. Originally serving as the residence and control station for the bridge keeper, it remains one of the few examples of the city's pre-war Prussian architecture. The building features distinctive timber-framing, stepped gables, and a compact footprint typical of German functional architecture from the 1890s. Following extensive restoration in the mid-2010s, the house was repurposed into a cultural and tourist attraction. It currently houses a private collection related to the local history of the Königsberg region, including figures known as 'Homlins' associated with the site. The site functions as a key landmark in the restoration of the historic Old Town district.
