Overview

Titanic Belfast is a six-floor museum located on the exact site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard where the RMS Titanic was constructed. The building's aluminum-clad exterior is shaped to evoke the silhouettes of four ship bows. Visitors follow a self-guided route through nine interactive galleries that detail the ship's design, construction, launch, and eventual sinking. The experience utilizes sensory technology, scale models, and audiovisual projections to reconstruct the atmosphere of early 20th-century Belfast. A key feature is the Shipyard Ride, which uses a dark-ride system to transport guests through a mock-up of the ship's construction process. The exhibition concludes with a dedicated area for the exploration of the wreck site and the history of its discovery. The site maintains a research collection including original blueprints and documents from the shipyard's archives. It is currently fully operational as of June 2026.
