Overview

Constructed in 2011, the structure serves a dual purpose as a telecommunications mast and a public observation platform. Visitors climb 161 steps to reach the observation deck, which sits at a height of 28 meters. From the top, the panoramic view encompasses the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, the Třeboň Basin, and on clear days, the distant Alps. The tower is built of steel with a circular base, reflecting its primary function as a signal transmitter. It is located in the vicinity of the village of Děbolín. The surrounding landscape consists primarily of rolling agricultural fields and forested patches typical of the South Bohemian region.

Photo spot

The observation deck level provides 360-degree views, with the best shots facing southwest toward the sunset over the South Bohemian countryside.

Insider tips

What to avoid

Attempting to visit during severe thunderstorms or high wind warnings, as the open steel structure is susceptible to gusty conditions.
