Overview

Battle Ground Lake State Park is a 280-acre park featuring a lake formed within a volcanic crater known as a maar. The central lake covers 28 acres and reaches a depth of approximately 60 feet. It is surrounded by a dense forest of Douglas fir, hemlock, and red cedar. The park offers over 5 miles of multi-use trails suitable for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Recreational facilities include 35 standard campsites, 15 partial-hookup sites, and group camping areas. Anglers can fish for stocked rainbow trout, which is a primary activity at the lake. Swimming is permitted in designated areas during the summer months. The park also provides multiple picnic shelters and play fields for public use.
