Overview

The Big Shot is a pneumatic thrust ride located at the pinnacle of The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower in Las Vegas. It holds the title of the world's highest thrill ride, propelling riders 160 feet vertically up a mast reaching 1,081 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. The ride utilizes a compressed-air system to launch passengers at 45 miles per hour to the very top of the tower. Riders experience a force of four Gs during the ascent before oscillating in a series of bounces. The structure is situated on the outdoor observation deck, providing panoramic views of the entire Las Vegas Valley. It is one of three high-altitude thrill rides currently operating at The Strat.
