Overview
Gardens by the Bay is a 101-hectare nature park built on reclaimed land in Singapore's Marina Bay district. It features the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, two of the world's largest climate-controlled glass conservatories. The site is anchored by 18 Supertrees, which are vertical gardens ranging from 25 to 50 meters in height. These steel structures serve as environmental engines, performing functions like solar harvesting and air venting for the conservatories. The park is integrated into the city’s sustainable infrastructure, utilizing a combined heat and power plant to process horticultural waste. Diverse garden zones, such as the Heritage Gardens, explore the history and culture of Singapore's ethnic groups through plant species. The OCBC Skyway offers a 128-meter elevated walkway between the Supertrees for aerial views of the district. The park operates as a major hub for botanical research and public education.
