The Schwarzenberg Tomb is a Neo-Gothic funeral chapel located in Domanín near Třeboň, designed as the final resting place for the Třeboň branch of the Schwarzenberg noble family. The building was designed by Viennese architect Franz Damasius Edler von Dewora, incorporating a distinctive hexagonal floor plan. It is situated within an English-style landscape park that spans approximately two hectares. The interior features a white Carrara marble altar crafted by sculptor Josef Max. The lower crypt contains 26 metal sarcophagi belonging to members of the family. The ventilation system in the crypt is engineered to maintain constant air circulation, ensuring the preservation of the remains. It stands as a significant example of 19th-century funerary architecture in the South Bohemian region.
