Overview

Kamennyy Most is a historic stone bridge in Kaluga, Russia, constructed between 1777 and 1780. It spans the Berezuisky ravine, which historically separated the city center from the southern districts. Designed by architect Pyotr Nikitin during the administration of Governor Mikhail Krechetnikov, it is one of the oldest stone bridges in the country. The structure features a multi-span vaulted design built primarily from brick and white stone. It measures approximately 160 meters in length and stands 20 meters above the ravine floor. The bridge remains a functional road artery within the city, integrating 18th-century engineering with contemporary urban traffic. It is recognized as a federal-level architectural monument.
