The park covers the southern half of Tongpan Island and features a circular boardwalk that allows visitors to view the geological formations up close. Marine erosion has further sculpted the base of these basalt pillars, creating distinct layers and sea-carved crevices. The site is a protected geological monument managed by the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration.
