Overview

Semple Stadium, officially known as FBD Semple Stadium, is the premier Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) venue in Munster and the second-largest stadium in Ireland. Located in Thurles, County Tipperary, it has a capacity of approximately 45,000 spectators. The stadium is the spiritual home of Tipperary hurling and has hosted numerous All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals. Its pitch dimensions are among the largest in the country, measuring 145 meters by 84 meters. The venue underwent significant redevelopment, including the construction of the Kinnane and O Riain stands. It remains a central hub for major provincial hurling and football fixtures throughout the competitive season. The stadium is owned and operated by the Tipperary County Board of the GAA.
