U Jakuba is a 40.7-meter-tall wooden observation tower located near the village of Valtínov in the Czech Canada nature region. Built in 2013, the structure features a steel spiral staircase with 181 steps leading to the main viewing platform at a height of 33 meters. The tower is constructed from larch wood and designed to withstand the region's harsh weather conditions. Visitors can observe the surrounding forests of the Javořice Highlands and the rolling landscape of the South Bohemian region. On exceptionally clear days, the view extends as far as the Austrian Alps. The base of the tower serves as an educational center featuring local fauna and flora exhibits. The facility includes a designated area for resting and small refreshments. It is located at an elevation of 680 meters above sea level.
