Overview

Dash Point State Park covers 398 acres along the Puget Sound coastline between Tacoma and Federal Way. The site features 3,300 feet of saltwater shoreline, primarily consisting of sand and mudflats exposed during low tide. The park encompasses 11 miles of hiking and biking trails that wind through second-growth evergreen forests. Over 140 campsites are available, including both full-hookup and standard tent sites. Marine life, such as starfish, crabs, and sea anemones, is frequently observable in the tide pools during ebb tides. The park acts as a significant corridor for local wildlife, including deer and various migratory bird species. Water activities are common, particularly kayaking and swimming in the calm inlet waters. The topography consists of a mix of flat beach areas and elevated, forested terrain.
