Overview

Beltzville State Park is a 3,000-acre public recreation area in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, centered around the 949-acre Beltzville Lake. The park is managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as part of the Lehigh River watershed. It features a 525-foot sand beach designated for swimming, which is the primary draw for summer visitors. Trout are stocked in Pohopoco Creek, providing year-round fishing opportunities in the stream and lake. The park offers over 15 miles of hiking trails that traverse fields, forests, and steep wooded ravines. Boating is permitted on the lake, with multiple boat launches available for motorized and non-motorized vessels. The dam and spillway area are prominent engineering features located on the western side of the park.
