Insider tips

Wear comfortable, flat walking shoes as the wooden surface can be uneven.

Visit during the early morning to experience the bridge without crowds and with calmer river winds.

Bring a windbreaker, as the bridge's height and position over the river canyon can make it significantly cooler than the surrounding town.

What to avoid

Do not attempt to cross the bridge during high wind warnings or heavy storms, as the suspension structure can sway significantly.
