Overview

The Brest Railway Engineering Museum, established in 2002, features an extensive outdoor collection of historical locomotives and rolling stock from the Soviet era. The facility is located near the Terespol border gate, directly adjacent to the Brest Fortress memorial complex. The collection includes steam locomotives, diesel engines, and specialized rail cars, many of which were restored to operational condition for film and historical events. Visitors can walk between and often climb into the cabs of various engines displayed on parallel tracks. The site also functions as an open-air historical archive documenting the technological evolution of the Belarusian railway network. It is the first open-air museum of its kind in Belarus. The museum grounds include approximately 70 units of railway equipment.
