Overview

Ba Na Hills is a high-altitude mountain resort complex situated in the Truong Son Mountains, accessible primarily by a multi-section cable car system. The site features the Golden Bridge, a pedestrian bridge supported by two oversized, weathered stone-like hands. The hilltop village is modeled after 19th-century French architecture, complete with a replica cathedral and cobblestone plazas. Extensive indoor amusement facilities, known as Fantasy Park, are built into the mountainside. The complex includes a functional alpine coaster and a multi-level pagoda area with a large Shakyamuni Buddha statue. It functions as an integrated tourist destination combining religious sites, floral gardens, and recreational parks. Due to its elevation, the resort maintains a significantly cooler climate than the coastal city of Da Nang.

Insider tips

Carry a light jacket as temperatures drop significantly compared to the coast.

Focus on visiting the Le Jardin D’Amour flower gardens early to beat the cable car queues.

Bring comfortable walking shoes for the steep incline transitions between different zones of the resort.

What to avoid

Do not attempt to walk between the base and the summit; the terrain is unsuitable for foot traffic, and cable car transit is required.

Etiquette

Modest clothing is required when entering the Linh Ung Pagoda and religious structures within the complex; shoulders and knees should be covered.
