A major feature of the cove is the shipwreck of a German ferry from World War II, which lies in shallow, crystal-clear water. Visitors can view the submerged wreckage with simple snorkeling gear due to the depth of only a few meters. A maintained walking path connects the cove to the nearby village of Jablanac, carved into the rocky terrain. The surrounding landscape is characterized by Mediterranean karst vegetation and high levels of biodiversity. The area is part of the Velebit Nature Park jurisdiction. Geological processes continue to shape the site, which is noted for its unique microclimate protected from strong winds.
