It serves as a vital transit link between the city center and the newer residential districts. Designed by Slovenian engineer Mladen Ulićević, the bridge uses a combination of concrete and steel construction. The deck extends 140 meters in length and accommodates both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. It has become a symbolic modern landmark of the Montenegrin capital.
